A: The machine uses filtered compressed air instead of pure nitrogen. Air consists mostly of nitrogen (78%) and oxygen (21%). The gas is dosed right before the dispensing tap into the liquid stream. Because of the short contact time there is absolutely no negative impact to the drink’s quality like oxidation.

A: No. A bartender also uses air in his shaker to conjure up the foam on his cocktails.

A: Yes, both taps can be used for different drinks and also the nitro settings can be adjusted separately for each tap. However, if you use it for alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, the temperature needs to be adjusted for the warmer product.

A: Place the unit upright stranding in a horizontal, dry, and clean location. Keep at least a 2-inch distance on all sides of the machine from to ensure proper air circulation. Be sure to protect the machine against moisture.

A: The machine is for indoor use only. Be sure to protect the machine against moisture and avoid humid environments.

A: The wall socket used must be connected to an overcurrent protection device (16 A). The electrical load is max 400 W per Nitro-Dispenser connected.

A: A fast-collapsing foam after dispense is based on ingredients or residues on the glass. Ensure that there are no  fatty residues at the glass. To check the recepie we recommend to start with the pure cold-brew and then after you verified it, add one ingredient after the other to the liquid to identify which one has bad impact on the foam stability. You could also use cocktail foaming agents such as vegan Fee Foam Cocktail foamer (liquid) or plant-based Methyl Cellulose (powder) to create a reference liquid to verify the functionality of your Nitro-Dispenser or to improve foam stability of your cocktail.

A: The nitro setting will arrive pre-set on the unit to the suggested level (line positioned vertically upwards). It is recommended to leave it as-is to ensure optimum performance and longevity. You may change it, however, by using the wrench provided to turn the nut counterclockwise. Always make sure that it’s in the tightened position (turn the nut clockwise) before using the machine; you should not be able to turn the knob if it has been tightened correctly.

A: We recommend Level 7, however you may adjust as you see fit. Just remember to revert back to Level 4 or lower when cleaning the machine or dispensing non-alcoholic beverages as you might freeze the liquid and potentially harm the machine if not set back correctly. If the machine freezes it might take up to 8 hours to melt down the ice internally again.

A: Absolutely!  It’s recommended to purchase additional canisters for convenience. Keep the additional canisters in the refrigerator and simply swap them when the one connected to the machine goes empty. This will keep you running without having to stop and make another batch!

A: The Nitro-Dispenser has an internal liquid buffer where 400 ml are kept cool. If there a several drinks after each other this buffer might not have been cooled down to the target temperature. To avoid non perfect temperature servings, we recommend to keep the cocktail canister chilled in a fridge before connecting to the machine. This will reduce the required cooling energy and ensure that all drinks are perfectly cooled – even in nonstop dispensing scenarios.

A: The following liquids or mixers can cause the unit to clog or malfunction:  All beverages with particles or pulp in it, thick syrups, or mixers that contain a high level of sugar. Also, avoid hot liquids of any kind, chemicals, or unfiltered liquids. Good, clean ingredients make a difference! Carbonated beverages like beer will not work either as the CO2 will create lots of foam.

A: Sure does! Just be sure to follow the instructions for acceptable liquids or mixers in your batched cocktail mix. You might also consider to use a cocktail foaming agent (eg Fee Brothers Fee Foam). A quite popular cocktail is Passion Fruit Martini.

A: Yes, it is recommended to clean your machine weekly especially if heavy utilization rate. In addition, it’s good to rinse the vacuum valve on the top of the red canister lid (white circle) with warm water every 4 weeks.  This is important if using sugary liquids in your batched cocktail mix – otherwise the canister tanks might collapse if the vacuum valve gets stuck and doesn’t open any more.

A: Blank units that are in-stock ship within 48-hours of your order & payment, plus transit time. Custom branded units or if your order is out of stock will ship straight from our factory and will take 4+ weeks plus transit time. Orders are not shipped or delivered on weekends or holidays. If we are experiencing a high volume of orders, shipments may be delayed by a few days, and we will notify you by email. Please allow additional days in transit for delivery.

A:  If you’ve attempted to troubleshoot your issue and were unsuccessful in resolving the issue, please get in touch with the nitro.cool sales team. They will put you contact with a service partner or support you in a different way.

A: All units are final sale. In the event of an issue and it has been deemed an accepted warranty claim, we will provide a swap unit and shipping label to ensure there is minimal down time. Please do not send the unit back without prior authorization to do so.
